115 cm is the middle of the home range: the strings are longer than on the very low models, so the bass carries better, and the instrument still does not take over the room. Two pedals: the right holds the note, the left softens it. There is no felt strip for quiet practice here — anyone who needs one should be looking at an upright with three pedals.
Satin mahogany shows the grain and swallows fingerprints and window light. Direct sun bleaches veneer, so keep it away from a south-facing window.
Against the wall the piano needs about 0.8 m² with the stool; it is 1.47 m wide and 56 cm deep, which takes it through any ordinary door. Not by the radiator — swings in humidity put it out of tune. At 200 kg, anything above the ground floor is work for movers. If you practise in the evening with neighbours behind the wall: an acoustic upright can have a Silent System fitted, and then you play in headphones on the same keys.
