A Silent System for acoustic uprights. A lever brings in the mute rail, the hammers are stopped just short of the strings and the instrument goes quiet — you carry on playing the same action and the same keys.
The keys are read by contactless optics: 127 velocity steps, five touch curves, and sustain and soft from the pedals. You listen through headphones, and since there are two sockets, the teacher can listen in. A metronome, four-track recording, USB and MIDI are built in.
