105 cm means shorter bass strings than a tall upright, so the bass comes out leaner; higher up the difference is hardly noticeable. It has three pedals, and day to day the middle one is often the most useful: it lowers a strip of felt between hammers and strings and makes practice quiet enough to stay behind the front door. The right holds the note, the left softens it.
Polyester is the hardest of piano finishes: unbothered by daily life, and cleaned with a dry soft cloth. High gloss does show dust and fingerprints — the answer is regular dusting, not polish.
The piano stands against the wall: 148 cm wide, 50 cm deep, so it comes through any ordinary door and asks little of the room's depth. An instrument this size is not something two people carry up the stairs; that is what movers are for. Keep it away from the radiator and out of direct sun — swings in humidity put it out of tune.
