GEWA DP510 — a digital piano in a classic upright cabinet, satin black, with 88 weighted hammer-action keys.

For anyone who wants to practise at home without disturbing anybody: plug in headphones and the room stays quiet. The piano voice is a high-resolution sample of a Hamburg concert grand; alongside it come 20 further sounds, from electric piano to strings, and 256-note polyphony, so that nothing breaks off even under the pedal. Bluetooth carries audio and MIDI, recordings go to a USB stick as MIDI or WAV files, and a metronome and a practice function are built in.

A digital piano never needs tuning, and dry heated air does it no harm. The cabinet is just under 150 cm wide and 54 cm deep, stands against the wall like an upright and weighs 54 kg — it takes two to carry it up the stairs. Connections for USB, aux in, line out and headphones.
